Copying a dashboard to another site lets you duplicate a dashboard you've built in one account and deploy it across other accounts in the same portfolio — in just a few clicks. Instead of rebuilding the same dashboard from scratch for every brand site, you can design it once and roll it out to your sister sites in seconds.
This feature is designed for teams that manage multiple brand sites under a single portfolio and need consistent reporting across all of them. Key benefits include:
- Time savings: Skip the repetitive work of rebuilding the same dashboard for every brand site.
- Consistency: Standardize reporting structures and KPIs across your entire portfolio.
- Scalability: Empower a single team member to support reporting across dozens of sister sites.
This feature is available to portfolio clients only and requires portfolio-level permissions to use.

Before You Begin
Confirm the following before attempting to copy a dashboard:
Your account must belong to a portfolio. A portfolio is a grouping of multiple websites managed together in the Wunderkind Platform.
You must have portfolio-level permissions. Without these permissions, the "Copy to another site" option will not appear.
If you're not sure whether you have the right access, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
What Gets Copied vs. What Doesn't
Understanding what's copied during cloning will help you set the right expectations for your destination sites.
What Gets Copied |
What Doesn't Get Copied |
|---|---|
Dashboard layout and structure |
Underlying data (each site shows its own) |
Widget configuration |
Metrics the destination site doesn't track |
Filter and grouping setup |
Integrations that aren't set up on the destination site |
Important: Because different sites in your portfolio may track different data, some metrics or integrations on the copied dashboard may not be available on the destination accounts. (see After Copying: Review Your New Dashboards).
How to Copy a Dashboard to Another Site
Follow these steps to copy a dashboard to one or more other sites within your portfolio.
In the Wunderkind Platform, open the sidebar navigation and go to Analytics > Dashboards to open the Dashboards list page.
-
Find the dashboard you want to copy. Click the ellipses (...) next to it, then select "Copy to another site."
-
In the "Copy dashboard to another site" modal, click the Search or select sites field and choose one or more destination sites from your portfolio. To remove a site, click on the × next to the site name
Click Copy to confirm the action. The dashboard structure will be pushed to each of the selected sites.
A confirmation notification will appear once the copy is complete.
Tip: The "Copy to another site" option only appears for dashboards on websites that belong to a portfolio.
After Copying: Review Your New Dashboards
Once copying is complete, perform a quick manual check on each new dashboard to identify and fix any invalid widgets or missing data streams. This step is required because each destination site may track different data than the source site.
To review a copied dashboard:
Switch to the destination site using the site selector in the top-left corner of the platform.
Navigate to Analytics > Dashboards and open the newly copied dashboard.
Check each widget for errors, missing data, or unavailable metrics. Edit or remove any widgets that reference data the destination site doesn't track.
Save your changes once the dashboard is fully reviewed.
Repeat this process for each destination site you copied to.
FAQs
Q: I don't see the "Copy to another site" option on my dashboard. Why? This option only appears when your website belongs to a portfolio, and you have portfolio-level permissions. If you believe you should have access, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
Q: Will copying overwrite an existing dashboard on the destination site? No. Copying creates a new dashboard on the destination site. Existing dashboards remain unchanged.
Q: Some widgets on my copied dashboard are showing errors or no data. What should I do? This is expected when the destination site tracks different data or uses different integrations than the source site. Review each affected widget and update or remove any that reference unavailable metrics or data streams.
Q: Can I copy a dashboard to multiple sites at once? Yes. The site selector in the modal lets you choose multiple destination sites in a single action — the dashboard will be copied to all of them when you click Copy.
