1. Overview
The Publisher Dashboard is a self-serve reporting tool within Wunderkind’s Autonomous Marketing Platform that increases reporting visibility and streamlines performance data analysis for clients. Users can directly access performance data, build and edit email reports, and better understand the impact of their latest strategy changes to inform placement optimizations that drive revenue. Clients have direct access to a wide range of ads-based KPIs, including:
- Total/trending impressions, net revenue, and net CPM
- Net revenue by website, device, ad size, and country
- Fill rate by website, placement, and device
- …and many more!
2. Availability
Users who have signed an amendment that grants access to the dashboard can access the dashboard. Clients on new contracts automatically have these terms included.

c. Ads Dashboard
i. Accessing your sites
Once a user is logged in, they can click on the downdrop menu in the top left corner, and they will see a list of all the sites that they have access to.
Using the sidebar navigation menu, navigate to Analytics > Ads Dashboards.
Filter for your desired date range. Users can select pre-built date ranges (week, month, quarter, etc.) for convenience or create custom date ranges.
In the dashboard, users can view KPIs including, but not limited to:
- Total/trending Impressions
- Total/trending Net Revenue
- Total/trending Net CPM
- Net Revenue by Website
- Net Revenue by Device
- Net Revenue by Ad Size
- Net Revenue x SSP x Deal Type
- And many more
ii. Exporting Source Data
Users can also download raw data reports. In the section Ads Dashboards, on any dashboard tile, hit “View Report” and then filter for the desired date range. Finally, select “Export” in the upper right-hand corner to save the file as a CSV.
To access data for a group of websites, hit “view family data” at the top to the left, then select “Websites” in the same area of the screen. A side panel on the right will open, which will allow you to choose which websites to include in the dashboard.
You can either select ‘All websites in this family’ or, to access data for an individual/subset of websites, select “Custom list of websites” and choose your desired site(s) from the drop down list.
Once you’re done, click “Apply”, and the dashboard tiles will update according to your selection.
iii. Reporting
Using our reporting capabilities, you have the option to either create a blank report from scratch (for custom reports), or create a report from standard templates (predefined report templates).
To create a report:
- Navigate to Analytics > Reports
- In the top right corner, click on Create Report
- A dialogue box will appear to choose between a blank report or a template
For more information on reports, please see Standard Reports: How to Create and Customize.
Creating a Custom Report
- On the Reports page, click on ‘Create Report’ in the top right corner
- A dialogue box will appear, in which you can click on Blank report
- After selecting ‘Blank report’, you’ll be taken to the report builder screen.
- On the right, the Report Settings panel opens. Here, choose which websites to include, then add your metrics and dimensions to define what appears in the custom report.
Please note there are some restrictions on metric compatibility with certain combinations of metrics and dimensions.
If you try to run a report and receive the error "Looks like something went wrong. We’re currently experiencing difficulties retrieving your data. Please try again later." it likely means you have created a report with incompatible metrics and dimensions.
If there is an insight you require, you can reach out to your dedicated CSM.
Definitions
- Net CPM: Net revenue per 1,000 impressions.
- Fill rate: The number of ads shown divided by the total number of opportunities to show an ad.
- Estimated revenue by placement: This is calculated using internal WKND data by multiplying the total net revenue by the percentage of total pops/impressions coming from a given placement. This assumes equal CPM's across placements as it's not calculated with SSP data..
- Supply-side platforms (SSPs): Advertising partners that we use to automate the selling of display ad space, helping us match our clients’ ads with space on publisher websites.
FAQs
Login / User Access FAQ’s
-
I have issues signing in, where do I go for help?
- Please refer back to the ‘Logging in’ section above on how to access the Dashboard. You can reach out to your Client Success team member if you are still having issues.
-
I forgot my password.
- Go to the dashboard login page and click “reset password.” You will receive an email from no-reply@wunderkind.co with a secure link to reset your password.
Dashboard Performance FAQ’s
-
Why is my fill rate not 100%?
- Your fill rate is impacted by several factors, including: if there is a bid present when and if a user engages in one of our disengagement behaviors. Wunderkind does not aim to have a 100% fill rate, as our goal is to drive incremental revenue.
-
My data from yesterday isn’t in the dashboard – where is it?
- Our SSP partners send us the previous day’s data at varying times. All data is typically received by 12:00 pm EST. If you are still missing data after 12:00 pm EST or for more than 3 days, please contact your Customer Success team member. Occasionally, data is delayed.
-
I’m not seeing the data for one of my sites. Why?
- No data can represent an issue with your site's performance or an issue with site access (if more recently onboarded). Please contact your Customer Success team member.
-
I’m seeing zero’s across my Onsite Performance on the homepage and overview page? Is that my Ads Data?
- The Onsite Performance cards you see at the top of the homepage and Overview page only show performance for your onsite experiences (e.g., modals, banners, email capture overlays, etc running on your site). These tiles can show all zeros as they are not Ads related.
- Your Ads performance is shown separately, lower on the Overview page in the Ads section and in the Ads Dashboards area of Analytics. This section includes metrics like WKND revenue, calculated fill rate, eCPM, and ad impressions for your offsite/programmatic ads.
-
My dashboard has an alert saying, “We haven’t received data from ‘X’ of your SSPs for over ‘X’ days.” What does that mean?
- This means this particular SSP is added to your account but hasn’t received revenue data since the noted data availability date. This can be from delayed SSP reporting or from integration issues (such as a missing ads.txt line). Please contact your Customer Success team member to assist if the alert continues for more than three days.
-
What is SSP-Sourced Data?
- SSP-Sourced Data is data we ingest from the individual SSPs (e.g. Index Exchange, Pubmatic, Criteo, etc.) reporting capabilities.
