Text in Canada User Guide
Overview
Welcome! We’re so excited for you to start running your Text program in Canada with Wunderkind. Before getting started, confirm that your Customer Success Manager/Implementation Manager has configured your ‘Multi-Language’ settings. Once complete, you can begin by logging into Connect: https://connect.wunderkind.co/. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager if you have any questions as you go through this guide.

On-Demand Multi-Language Campaigns
Building Multi-Language On-Demand Texts
- Navigate to Campaigns > Text Messaging > On-Demand Texts
- Click + New Campaign to open the Campaign Builder modal.
- Campaign Setup: Enter a Campaign Name and click Next.

Segment: Select the segment you want to use from the dropdown and click Next.
- The dropdown will only contain Active segments.

Content: Here you will see two separate buckets for your English vs. French campaigns.

English - Input the URL for your English landing page and your English text message copy
- If you are including imagery in your message, click the Enable MMS checkbox and upload your creative.

French - Input the URL for your French landing page and your French text message copy
- If you are including imagery in your message, click the Enable MMS checkbox and upload your creative.

Note: If there are words in your creative, ensure the language maps to the correct campaign!

Tracking Information: Add any Tracking Information, if applicable, and click Next.
- The Campaign UTM is intentionally left blank. Name is something simple. If you leave it blank it will be (not set) in Google Analytics.
- The Medium, Source, and Term UTMs have default values filled in.
- We do not currently support custom UTM parameters per language. However, we automatically attach the custom identifier utm_lang=en or utm_lang=fr to identify the language that the user clicked through from.
- Scheduling: Choose Now, Send time, Smart send or Recurring send from the Send Details dropdown.

Summary: We have updated this section to show separate summaries of the English and French campaigns. Once you review, you can Finalize the campaign or Save As Draft.
- Selecting Finalize means that your campaign will be saved as-is.
- Selecting Save As Draft allows you to pick up from where you left off later on
Auto-Replies
English and French Legal Auto-Replies
- When you navigate to Campaigns > Text Messaging > Automated Reply, you will see an auto-populated list of legal auto replies in English and French with pre-populated trigger words and responses. These auto-replies automatically populate after your CSM sets up your Multi-Language website settings in Core. It is up you you, the client, to determine if this standard language is sufficient, or make custom changes as needed.
- To edit auto replies, click the blue expand button on the far right, edit, and click save.
Switch Language Preference Auto-Replies
- In addition to your standard legal auto-replies, you will also see two ‘switch language’ auto-replies, one in English and one in French. Again, it is up to you to determine if this standard language is sufficient, or make custom changes as needed.
- To edit auto replies, click the blue expand button on the far right, edit, and click save.
Text-to-Join
- When you navigate to Campaigns > Text Messaging > Nested Reply, you will see both an English and a French Text-to-Join campaigns. These automatically populate after your CSM sets up your Multi-Language website settings in Core. It is up you you, the client, to determine if this standard language below is sufficient, or to make custom changes as needed:
- English - Reply Y to receive automated recurring {{.BrandName}} marketing msgs like cart reminders (consent is not a condition of purchase) & to accept the T&C: [English T&C link]

French - Répondez Y pour recevoir des messages promotionnels de {{.BrandName}} comme rappel de panier (le consentement n'est pas une condition d'achat) & pour acceptez les T&C: [French T&C link]
- Reminder: it is legally required to ensure the correct language T&C link is used (i.e., English T&C for English campaign, French T&C for French campaign)
- To edit your campaigns, click the blue expand button on the far right, edit, and click save.
Double Opt-Ins
- When you navigate to Website Settings > Text Messaging > Double Opt-Ins, you will see both an English and a French Double Opt-In campaigns. These automatically populate after your CSM sets up your Multi-Language website settings in Core. It is up you you, the client, to determine if this standard language below is sufficient, or to make custom changes as needed:
