What is a text sweepstakes?
A text sweepstakes enables brands to run a giveaway where subscribers may opt in to their program and text keywords to then enter to win a prize. A sweepstakes (unlike a contest, which is based on skill or talent) is a game of chance, because a winner is chosen randomly.
What do we need from you?
- Signed Wunderkind contract amendment (no additional cost).
- Sweepstakes Intake form, filled out with your brandʼs details.
- A copy of your brandʼs full official Sweepstake rules.
- An overlay mock-up of the opt-in campaign from the brand.
What is the set-up process?
Wunderkind will work with our aggregator to submit an amendment that adds a sweepstakes to your brandʼs live short code. The aggregator will review and provide feedback as needed, then submit the amendment to carriers for review. While the carrier review typically takes 2-3 weeks, it may stretch out depending on the nature of the sweepstakes. Carriers may also request additional changes as needed. Note that the aggregator charges a $500 fee, which will be included in your upcoming Wunderkind invoice.
Finally, your CSM will work with you to build a new, compliant text capture campaign and accompanying Behavioral Welcome series (see below).
Note: On your designated date, your CSM will pull a list of subscribers who texted the key word, and you can then randomly select a winner.
