The Block Editor is where you manage and update reusable content blocks. Blocks are saved in the Block Library and can be inserted into any layout. Editing blocks here allows you to make changes once and publish them across all layouts that use the block.

Block Editor vs. Layout Editor
Publishing Blocks
Publishing Workflow
Accessing the Block Library
- From the left navigation panel, go to Studio → Blocks.
- You’ll see the Block Library, which organizes all available blocks into categories:
- Heroes
- Primary messaging
- Secondary messaging
- Product grids
- Banners
- Repeated content
- Dividers
- Logo
- Components
- Footer
- Custom blocks
Selecting a category opens the Block Editor for that block type.
Block Editor vs. Layout Editor
The Block Editor has the same core structure as the Layout Editor (layers panel, canvas, right-side controls), but with a few key differences:
-
Layers Panel – Displays all blocks within the selected category.
- Unlike layouts, blocks do not appear in order of canvas placement.
- Only the selected block will appear in the canvas for editing.
- Canvas – Shows the chosen block for editing, not the full creative.
- Publishing – Instead of just saving, blocks can be published out to multiple layouts that use them.
Publishing Blocks
The primary purpose of the Block Editor is to streamline mass updates. For example, if a hero block is used across multiple creatives, you can update it once in the Block Editor and publish the changes everywhere, rather than updating each layout individually.
Publishing Workflow
- After editing a block, select Publish.
- A Publish modal will appear, prompting you to choose which parts of the block to update:
-
Design
- Pushes updates from the design settings (e.g., background color, padding, styles).
- Content is preserved in layouts.
- Best for styling updates where copy/images differ by creative.
-
Content
- Pushes updates to content inputs (e.g., hero image, default text).
- Design is preserved in layouts.
- Best for image or copy updates where styling differs by creative.
-
Advanced
- Pushes updates from the Advanced (custom code) section.
- Best for code or logic updates without altering copy or design.
- Select which layouts should receive the update.
- Confirm publish. The selected layouts will automatically inherit the changes.
