WKND conducts internal UAT testing for all Signals clients. This document outlines the QA tests used to ensure data integrity, tracking accuracy, and multi-channel delivery performance.
Identification Validation
Ensuring that user identity is captured accurately across all entry points.
- Identification Methods: Verify that all active WKND ID methods are successfully identifying users.
- WKND Customer Segmentation:
- Historic Customers: Confirm users from file upload are correctly identified.
- Online Purchasers: Confirm purchasers captured via the WKND pixel are flagged as Previous Customers.
Event & Behavior Tracking
Validation of user behavior triggers onsite to ensure the correct Signals are triggered.
| Event Type & Definition | Purpose/ Use Case |

Item-level metadata is tested to ensure accurate item information is passed across all device types (Mobile, Desktop) via the Signal.
- Item Image URL
- Item URL
- Item Name
- Item Category
- Item Group ID (only applicable if running catalog modules)
- Item in Stock Value (true or false)

Verification of email rendering and campaign cadence. If campaigns are segmented between customers and prospects, WKND will test the prospect series only.
- Dynamic Rendering: Verification that item details (images, names, URLs, UTMs) populate correctly in the template.
- Scope: Tested on Part 1 only for each campaign type.
- Click Through Parameters: WKND Identification and wknd_signals parameters are appended to click-through links.
- Scope: Tested on Part 1 only of each campaign type.
- Signal Prioritization: Users are eligible only for the single highest-intent action performed during a visit.
- Signal Logic in the ESP: Confirm that the cadence and number of parts are set to WKND’s best practice in the ESP.
Text Delivery
Verification that text messages are sent from the correct shortcode and successfully delivered. WKND will conduct a single end-to-end test, validating one message within one campaign in the series. If campaigns are segmented between customers and prospects, only the prospect series will be tested.
- Shortcode: Confirm messages are sent from the correct, approved shortcode.
- Scope: Tested on Part 1 only.
- Data Integrity: Verification that dynamic item copy, item URL, and UTMs (Wunderkind Identification & wknd_signal parameters), are correctly passed.
- Scope: Tested on Part 1 only.
